Recovery of Mutual Funds

Hundreds of crores lie unclaimed as redemption amounts of mutual funds. We help investors reclaim what belongs to them across every AMC.

Hundreds of crores are lying unclaimed in the form of redemption amounts of mutual funds. We provide services for the redemption of mutual funds which remain unclaimed due to various reasons.

Common Issues in Mutual Fund Recovery

  • Mismatch of name / change of name — marriage, spelling variation, initial vs full name
  • Change of address not updated with the AMC or RTA
  • Death of the mutual fund holder without transmission to nominees
  • Closure of the linked bank account, so redemption proceeds bounce back
  • Signature mismatch compared to the original folio records
“Even if you don't have the details of your mutual fund, but you remember the name of the Mutual Fund houses where investment was made, we can assist in the retrieval of information and recovery of those unclaimed mutual funds.”

The Timeline You Need to Know

After 3 years of unclaimed redemption or dividend amounts, mutual fund houses invest these in money markets. After an additional 10 years, funds transfer to the Senior Citizen Welfare Fund. Recovery typically becomes impossible after 25 years total — so act early.

Our Recovery Process

  1. Discovery — Using PAN, name and known AMCs we trace every folio ever opened in your name (or the deceased's name).
  2. Reconciliation — Consolidate folios across RTAs (KFinTech, CAMS) and update KYC on inactive ones.
  3. Restoration — Fix name/address/signature mismatches, submit KYC-refresh forms and bank details.
  4. Redemption — Trigger the redemption once the folio is active, and route funds to your current bank account.
